Shannon is a Shareholder at Brick Gentry P.C. She joined the firm after serving as an Assistant Polk County Attorney for 12 years, where she specialized in domestic violence prosecutions. Shannon is an experienced trial attorney; she has tried over 50 criminal jury trials. She is a subject-matter expert in domestic violence and trains nationwide on various topics including law enforcement investigations, crime victim considerations and trial advocacy. Passionate about justice and protecting those most vulnerable in our communities, Shannon’s compassionate representation helps clients understand the often-confusing court system.

Shannon is a lifelong Iowan. The first in her extended family to graduate from college, Shannon is motivated to serve her community in a manner that helps all. She lives in her hometown of Ankeny, Iowa with her husband and their two children. When she’s available, Shannon enjoys offering expert legal commentary on Court TV.
