Social Media in the Workplace

Each new social media technology creates a unique challenge for companies big and small. In this session, we will discuss the different forms of social media, the legal pitfalls and implications of regulating and/or not regulating social media usage, and how best to implement a social media policy in your workplace.

Erin Clanton is a shareholder of Brick Gentry P.C. Law Firm. The majority of Erin’s practice is focused upon employment related legal issues and the representation of municipalities. She also handles general corporate work and provides real estate services, including title examination and loan closings. Ms. Clanton is active in the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the federal and state courts of Iowa.

Erin graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 with degrees in English and Finance. In 2005, she graduated from Creighton University Law School and joined Brick Gentry as an associate. Erin became a shareholder with Brick Gentry in 2009.
